Almond Paste

From the recipe collection of the early dutch immigrant scene here in Vancouver. Almond paste is an essential ingredient for “gefulde koeken”, and “Christmas stollen”.


  • 2 packages ground almonds
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lemon, juice and rind
  • 1 tsp almond flavouring


Mix all ingredients together. Store in fridge until ready to use.
